Victor Mazurenko is the President, the Chief Executive Officer and the Program Director for
Root Locus, Inc. Security Products and Services group. He conducts primary research and provides insight and analysis on a variety of evolving security markets. Mr. Mazurenko delivers critical market intelligence to technology vendors, IT professionals, and the financial community. His areas of expertise include authentication / authorization software and security management.
Prior to launching
Root Locus, Inc., Mr. Mazurenko was a Consultant and Technical Lead for Fidelity Investments. In this position (2004-2006), he managed the group's research activities, analyzed end-user business issues, and developed Fidelity Investments security models and infrastructure. Mr. Mazurenko also worked for Standard & Poor’s (McGraw-Hill Companies) in 1999-2004, where he managed mid-range software projects in the areas of market data management and commercial mortgage-backed securities analytics.
In 1990, Mr. Mazurenko founded BelComData Group (Belarus) and consulted extensively with large users on open systems, Internet access, storage management, server consolidation, vendor negotiation, database selection, software asset management, and systems/network management. BelComData Group actively participates in the international IT market, supporting existing and opening new business directions. Mr. Mazurenko remains a co-owner of other businesses, including Santek Technology (joint venture, system integration), BelTransfer (financial transactions management), and others.
Mr. Mazurenko holds a Master’s in Software Engineering degree from Harvard University (2006), a business degree from Moscow University for National Economy (1992), and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Belarus National Technical University (1988).
Mr. Mazurenko also holds professional certifications from Project Management Institute, Microsoft Corporation and Sun Microsystems.
